TOMS Shoes Charity around the world

TOMS started as a simple project that set out to help get a group of kids in Argentina get new pairs of shoes in 2006. As a business man, all Blake Mycoskie he knew to do was start a company to help because he did not have the resources to start a charity. Thus was born the One for One™ promise, and a global movement. For every pair of TOMS shoes they sell, one pair of shoes goes to a child in need. The concept of One for One™ has become a powerful way to meet a basic need worldwide. Surrounded by extreme poverty Blake knew that TOMS could be used for unmet needs beyond shoes. Thus TOMS Eyewear was born and I have a feeling TOMS is already working on their next way to help.

TOMS is about providing shoes for Tomorrow. More than one million pairs of shoes have been given to children worldwide through this program. The needy children are in places as diverse as Ethiopia, Guatemala, Haiti, South Africa and the United States of America. TOMS Shoes sold 10,000 pairs of shoes and Blake returned to Argentina later that year with family and friends and gave back to the children who had first inspired him. Remember that you can save money by using TOMS Shoes Coupons and finding TOMS Coupon Code 2011.
