Glamour Fashion has been organizing annual Fashion Gives Back event where they would support a selected charity every year. This year they have teamed up with TOMS for the sixth annual fashion gives back event. In this Sixth annual Fashion gives back event, Glamour Fashion has collaborated with TOMS shoes to bring out three unique pairs in limited numbers. This event celebrates five of the world’s top supermodels, each of whom are working their own way to support a charity cause across the world.
- Amber Valletta supports a charity ‘Water’ which endeavors to bring clean drinking water to people in developing countries.
- Elettra Wiedemann pleads with people to donate salary, service or time for one day to specific projects around the world, where the need is great, while the goals are achievable. This one day initiative goes in the name of One Fricking day, which might not be considerable for us, while making a great difference to deprived lives.
- Kyleigh Kuhn leads the Roots of Peace Penny Campaign which collects pennies from American children to help build schools in war torn countries.
- Liya Kebede, through her Liya Kebede foundation, tries to save the lives of mothers and children by providing maternal health care facilities across the world.
- Tao Okamoto toils to provide rehabilitation to victims of natural disasters in Japan, through her Peace Winds Japan initiative.
In order to support these five models this year with their charity drives, TOMS brings in three models of their famous shoes. TOMS supports these initiatives, as an add-on charity, along with its regular One for One campaign that runs simultaneously.
The three limited edition slip-ons come at a price of $54. Apart from the One for One campaign where TOMS gives one pair of shoes to needy people with every pair purchased, another $2.50 will be donated to the present charity campaign. Another matching $2.50 would be contributed by Fashion Glamour. Thus, with every pair purchased in the campaign, you would donate $5 to the chosen charity.
The three limited edition pairs:
The first one is the Burlap Triangles Wome’s Classics which sport silver triangles over fine burlap weave. The rope sole adds to the rustic, traditional finish to these pairs, which come with an elastic V for easy on and off. The classic TOMS suede insole with cushion and latex arch insert make the shoe comfortable on feet. A one piece outsole provides flexibility and durability. All three TOMS Limited Editions Styles are $54 and an investment in fashion.
The Woven Natural Stripe Women’s Classics comes with the same styling and price, with stripes over canvas, reminding the hand-sewn blankets of South America.
The third limited edition pair is the Embroidered Indigo Wome’s classics in which subtle embroidered detailing is providing along the ankle enhancing the great looks. This pair also has the same features and styling as the other two.
However, there are only 23000 pairs of each of these models, which means that the campaign lasts only till the stocks last. This special campaign aims to raise $115,000 for the chosen charities.
